You must be 18 in the State of New York

to get Tattooed, it is the Law!

In fact, it is one of the only 2 State Laws regarding Tattooing in New York.

The other, is the mandated use of an Autoclave for sterilization.

The State outlawed the use of "Dry Heat Sterilizers" over 20 years ago.

A Barber, Hairdresser, Nail Technician and Massage Therapist

all require not only a New York State License to practice, 

but New York State Certification as well.

Unfortunately the same cannot be said of Tattooing,

or Body Piercing, Branding and Scarification for that matter. 

In fact, New York State leaves it up to each:

City, County, Municipality, Village or Hamlet, to enforce as they see fit.

There is no such thing as New York State Licensed Tattoo Shops or Artists.

SO DON'T BE LIED TO.

It is very much a "Buyer Beware' market in New York State 

with few regulations and very little enforcement.

So please, "think, before the ink".

There is NO such thing as Legal Parental Consent in New York State.

In fact, it's a "B" Misdemeanor to knowingly work on a minor.

All work is done with single use disposable needles that are either Autoclaved before use,

or hermetically sealed E.O Gas Vapor sterilized, and the Tubes as well.

Our Autoclave is properly maintained and "Spores Tested" regularly.

Any of our resident or guest artists are trained and certified

with Bloodbourne Pathogens Training,

Disease Transmission Prevention & Preventive Cross Contamination Procedures.

As well as Full Innoculation and Immunization against both Hepatitus A, B & D.

Where the Hell is Oneonta, New York

 anyway?

Oneonta, New York is located between Albany and Binghamton on Interstate 88

Albany is a 1 1/2 hour drive away and Binghamton is just over 1 hour.

A mere 3 - 4 hour drive from New York City and Philadelphia Pa.,

about 5 hours from Boston Mass. and  4 hours Montreal, Canada.

      We are nestled in the northwestern edge of the Catskill Mountains in an area known as the Central Leather Stocking Region. Oneonta is 22 miles from Historic Cooperstown New York and the area boasts year round seasonal recreational activities.

      As for lodging, there are several levels of accomodations to suit all needs and budgets, as there are over 17 Hotels & Motels within a 5 mile radius of the shop, to say nothing of the countless B&B's. We reccommend staying at http://www.kountryliving.net as our official Bed & Breakfast. We also keep a short list on hand of Lodgings that have been recommended by our clients over the years.
